Stéphane Paquin, Ph.D.

Stéphane Paquin is a postdoctoral scholar in the Gene Environment Interplay lab. His research is funded by the Fond de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS). He has completed a B.Sc. in Sociology from Laval University, an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Montréal.

Stéphane is especially interested in how social responses to heritable characteristics can contribute to persistence of externalized behaviors in childhood and adolescence. More precisely, he is using data from the EGDS to examine how evocative gene-environment correlations evolve during childhood.

He is also collaborating with the GRIP in Québec, Canada using polygenic risk scores to study the development of children’s externalizing behaviors.
