Guilia Borriello, Ph.D.

Giulia worked with Dr. Jenae Neiderhiser. Her work concerned understanding the genetic and environmental influences on children’s cognitive development. More specifically, Giulia is interested in the etiologies behind spatial thinking and STEM learning more broadly (e.g., mathematics and science abilities). Giulia worked on the Early Growth and Development Study in order to investigate the genetic and environmental influences behind elementary-school aged children’s mathematics performance. Environmental factors of interest include parenting behaviors, parent-child play interactions, and the home environment. Giulia is currently at Indiana University.
