Emily Kelly was an interviewer, recruiter, and assessment coordinator for the Early Growth and Development Study. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill summa cum laude in 2017 with a double major in Psychology and English. Emily spent the past year (2017-2018) as an AmeriCorps member at a high school in Newark, New Jersey, tutoring 9th and 10th grade students and working in the counseling office supporting the school psychologist and social workers. Emily is interested in researching the relationship between family involvement and adolescent psychopathology and behaviors. Furthermore, she is interested in looking at how increasing family involvement in evidence based treatments can increase the effectiveness of therapy for adolescents, particularly in low-resource environments.
