Amanda Ramos, Ph.D.
Amanda Ramos received her PhD in Developmental Psychology working with Dr. Jenae Neiderhiser. She was awarded an NRSA F32 and is now currently working with Dr. Stephanie Engel at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
She received her B.A. in Psychology from Humboldt State University in 2010 and her M.A. in Psychological Research from California State University, Long Beach in 2015. Her research interests include gene-environment interplay in the development of child social competency, psychological adjustment, and school readiness. She is interested in how both the prenatal environment and family dynamics (e.g., parent-child and interparental) can impact adjustment. She also works with Dr. Gregory Fosco in Human Development and Family Studies where she is interested in understanding how different family dyads and family processes impact youth adjustment and connectedness with the family.
