Amali Stephens

Amali Stephens earned a B.S. in Biology at Iowa State University and is currently a Ph.D student in the Interdepartmental Microbiology program with background in stress, immunology and cellular biology. With interests in the role that context plays in human development and stress, their current project investigates the intersection between stress biology, the built environment’s “exposome”, substance use evolution and adolescent development. In addition to being passionate about research, she enjoys leadership roles in groups across campus and scientific education outreach.
